Watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Episode 1

Megumi is able to exorcise the curse of the Yasohachi Bridge, but the threat doesn't end there. Meanwhile, Yuji and Nobara come face to face with the brothers from Cursed Womb: Images of Death and are threatened with the death of a wasp!

While Megumi and Nobara deal with the cursed mole-like spirit, Yuji only deals with Kechizu. Yuji manages to dodge the blood Kechizu shot at him, closing the distance between them and sending Kechizu flying with a single kick. The ghost continues spewing his blood as Yuji acts quickly and flips the ghost to avoid his blood, managing to throw a few punches before Kechizu grabs Yuji's arm.

Kechizu comments on how he got the wizard. The young wizard counters by grabbing the ghost's other arm and lifting its legs into the air before sending Kechiza flying with an impromptu kick. Yuji notices that the blood Kechizu spat out earlier is corrosive and has melted the wall behind him. Kechizu says that Yuji is strong and it's no joke.

Megumi and Nobara talk about the bridge curse (Anime)
Megumi and Nobara try to figure out the weak point of the bridge curse.

Elsewhere in the Domain, Nobara attempts to use resonance on a cursed mole-like spirit while Megumi uses her black sword to try to kill it as well, but the cursed spirit is fast enough to return to its hole. Megumi wonders how many there are as Nobara says they should keep going like it's a mole. Megumi agrees with Nobara and asks her to continue crushing existence until she can capture it.

Nobara asks if she is unable to repay the curse due to her enhanced cursed technique, but Megumi isn't sure. Megumi is surprised to see that the extended curse technique, the number of victims, and the barrier the curse uses is draining her main body. He says they are lucky and will be able to exorcise the cursed spirit quickly. Nobara is then suddenly taken out of the barrier by a third party as Megumi turns to try to save Nobara, who instead encourages Megumi to continue her quest to exorcise the spirit. Megumi continues to fight, not sure who took Nobara from the barrier.

Ace first appearance (anime)
Kechizu's brother Ace.

Sensing his older brother's presence, Kechizu quickly ran away from Yuji and also left the barrier, leaving Yuji shocked that he ran away. Yuji asks Megumi if he should chase the ghost, while Megumi tells Yuji to chase him since Nobara was also taken out of the barrier and what she's up against may be more disturbing than what's inside the domain. Before leaving, Yuji tells Megumi to go outside if she gets worse inside.

Outside behind the barrier, Nobara is angry at the unknown entity for pulling her out of the barrier. He swings his hammer and forces the mysterious man to take a step back. The man is surprised that he got his hands on a witch, as she is not the intended target. Eso and Kechizu run "errands" there and promise not to harm the wizards if they back off. Nobara is confused by both Es' statement and his strange anatomy. Not sure if he is a curse user or cursed spirit or not. Along with the peculiar smell it emits. Surprised, Eso comments that he believed the wizards were given the same task as him: to retrieve Sukun's finger.

Divine Dog Exorcises the Curse of the Mole (Anime)
Megumi predicts the movements of the curse and allows the Divine Dog to exorcise it.

Inside the domain, Megumi continues to fight the mole-like curse, claiming that her method of attack is too simple, as Megumi seems proud of herself. Divine Dog: Totality is able to deliver the final blow to the curse. Noticing that the barrier wasn't removed even after the curse was exorcised, Megumi is confused and asks what's going on before something comes out of the exit. Megumi is shocked and realizes that the cursed victims started dying in June, the same month that Yuji incarnated Sukuna. Megumi comes to this conclusion as he is once again face to face with a strange finger bearer identical to the one he escaped from the detention center. By releasing his cursed energy, Sukuna caused all of his fingers to resonate, awakening a bridge curse that hid one of the fingers.

New Finger Bearer Confronts Megumi (Anime)
Megumi discovers that Sukun's fingers are connected to the investigation.

Megumi takes a defensive stance with her sword as the cursed spirit smirks at him. With a single blast of cursed energy, Megumi's sword is broken and the finger bearer flies past it, unable to deliver a cursed energy charged fist as Megumi's divine dog manages to save him just in time. Megumi tries to summon Nue in Divine Dog's arms, but the speed of the curses surprises him again. The Finger Bearer knocks Megumi back into the stone wall, which cracks on impact, causing Megumi to bleed profusely from the head. Megumi falls unconscious for a moment, causing his Divine Hound to be dispersed.

Megumi decides not to sacrifice herself (Anime)
Megumi steps out of her comfort zone and decides to push her limits.

Megumi recalls training with Gojo sensei as Gojo declares him the winner. Gojo sensei strongly encouraged him to let go of his limitations and think more freely about his potential. Megumi momentarily considers using a summoning ritual that would ultimately sacrifice herself, but decides against the decision. Smiling with a crazed expression, Megumi gives up on sacrifice and goes for victory instead. Megumi represents a future stronger version of herself, able to bring out the deepest shadows and overcome her limits. Activates the Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden! Megumi pushes, causing his nose to bleed as well, but he is happy with the result.

Although incomplete, Megumi believes this domain extension should be enough to win. As the floor of the mansion is covered in shadows, several frogs grab onto the legs of the curse. He moves to fend them off, but Megumi seizes the distraction and delivers a powerful direct kick to her opponent's face. By riding frogs and liquid shadow, Megumi increases her mobility and bypasses the curse. His opponent fires a concentrated arrow of cursed energy over Megumi's head, but with a freer imagination, he is able to use a shadow fake to replace himself so he doesn't shoot the head off. The two Nue cross to hit the curse before he decides to blow away all the liquid shadow with a large explosive barrier made of cursed energy.

With most of the shadows removed and Megumi nowhere in sight, the curse believes it has won. However, he is suddenly stabbed in the chest from behind. Megumi and the Divine Dog: Totalities emerge from the shadows behind the curse to bring it down once and for all. Megumi points out that the Divine Dogs' claws could even break through Hanami's hard shell, so this curse was no match. Upon defeat, the curse disappears and the domain disappears with it. Megumi notices that he is tired and throws up before falling forward.
In flashback, Megumi bullied many of the punks in the area and was often scolded by Tsumiki. When she confronted Megumi about not fighting anymore, Megumi merely turned around and threw strawberry milk at him as a result. Much to the surprise of Tsumiki, who didn't expect the carton to open and dump Megumi on her head.

When Megumi was in first grade, his father and mother Tsumiki got married before disappearing without a trace. That was when Gojo stepped in and had the school support Megumi and his sister instead of selling Megumi into the Zenin family. Megumi holds on to one of Sukuna's fingers, wondering how to break the news about that finger to Yuji before suddenly falling asleep.

Both Eso and Nobara notice the presence of Sukun's finger as Eso quickly walks away from Nobara who yells at him to come back as he was aware that he was following the finger. Just then, Kechizu and Yuji suddenly appear behind Es, who immediately becomes enraged to kill them for looking at his back. Yuji and Kechizu both frantically apologize while Nobara acts quickly and whacks Ace in the back of the head with his hammer. Enraged, Ace activates Rot Technique: Maximum: Wing King and claims that the students will suffer death by the wasp.
